FFP Brief Introduction
More than 90% scopes have the reticle fitted in the second focal plane(near the eyepiece)abroad. While others are fitted the reticle in the first focal plane(the reticle‘s size gets bigger with the magnification from lower to higher).
The advantage with telemetric reticles(such as rangerfinder& Mil-dot etc) is that the target image and distance between dots remains constant (avoid the parallax)even while changing the magnification. FFP reticle system is widely used by the top military supplier.
